Finger Foods

Summer's got skills! She's got that pincher grasp down! And she's getting the hang of chewing with her four teeth. She has her own technique of crunching the cheerios and squishing them in her gums.

Yesterday we decided to graduate her to some other foods. I started with bananas. She squished them in her fingers for a while, examining them closely. Then a minute later she put them in her mouth. She smiled with delight!

At lunch we tried peas and rice. I guess she likes this new way of eating because when I gave her pureed peas in the past, she made a face of disgust and spit em out. I don't think I'd like the taste of pureed peas myself. Must be a texture thing!

Today she wants to taste everything we are eating. ("No, Summer you can't have bbq potato chips!") The time has come to be more mindful about our food choices.

Later we will try cantelope!

mmm.. peas...

More Giants Pics

Here we are with our friend Julie. It was a very sunny day and we were in the suntan section.

Here is Adam and Ingrid.

Summer had her own seat on the train. As you can see it was all very exciting.

Summer's First Giants Game!

And they lost to the Dodgers. But that didn't stop us from having a good time. We took Caltrain. Is that a carbon offset I get to brag about? I'm an environmentalist! Yay!

All-Star Day in S.F.

I'm not going to the All-Star game, but I snapped some pics of the park today. Pretty spiffy set-up.

Moving is hard...

We moved. We're in Googleville now. (That's Mountain View for the uninitiated.) It's nice, with lots of good restaurants and a near-perfect climate. But, alas, moving is hard. It's alll take-out and bruised ribs. Want proof?
Take out

Ouchie thanks to an ill-placed cardboard box.

Happy Birthday USA!

We went to the chili cook-off in Palo Alto, and later to a BBQ at relatives. Lots of good food at both.

Drew, Max and Summer.
